• To overview of the events around and leading up to the signing of The Treaty Of Waitangi and Te Whakaputanga.
• A brief history of The Treaty of Waitangi in the NZ GOVT.
• “The 3 Ps" and an analysis of what they mean in context of our organizations.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to understand where we stand in context to the Treaty of Waitangi and the nature of the obligations some hold to the treaty.

FACILITATOR
Richard (Richie) Ratahi from Richard Joseph & Associates

Richard has had a background in tertiary and Māori education since before he left his kura kaupapa, Te Kura Whakapumau in 2009. He has lectured Reo classes for Te Wananga O Aotearoa and facilitated a Whanau Ora Certificate through Otago Polytech aswell as led community based initiatives along side local Māori in and outside of Dunedin. Richard's strengths lie in his ability to navigate both Te Ao Māori (the Māori realm) and Te Ao Hurihuri (the ever changing modern world) and delivering workshops with enthusiasm and understanding.
