An Introduction to Business Continuity Planning
Tue 28 November 9:00am - 5:00pm
Training Room, Business South Inc, Level 3, 442 Moray Place, Dunedin
The fundamental aim of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) is to know what you need to do before things go wrong, so your business and your people can be ready to respond, instead of simply reacting.

Business Continuity Plans must be developed with a full understanding of what can go wrong and how this can impact your business.  BCP therefore requires a structured approach for leaders, managers and teams to address three simple questions:

1.            What can go wrong (in a big way)?
2.            How will this impact my business?
3.            How do I continue business in my ‘new normal’?

Business owners, senior executives and managers should know how to identify risks, and understand how these risks can impact their organization’s strategic objectives, and their teams’ ability to deliver business plans and daily operations.  With this understanding they can develop the right solutions to ensure continuity of business and operations, utilising the right combination of money, effort and time.

This one-day course introduces the core principles of Business Continuity Planning, risk and risk management, and provides participants with a framework, techniques and tools to assist in the development of their Business Continuity Plans.
