Recruitment - Getting it Right the First Time!
Thu 19 September 8:30am - 12:30pm
Training Room, Business South Inc, Level 3, 442 Moray Place, Dunedin
I often question why employers do not invest the time necessary to reduce the risk of making a poor recruitment decision.

This is the opportunity to either bring a new person into your business who will add value and drive performance or detract value and add unnecessary costs.

It is a challenge to get it 100% right every time; however, it is not difficult to introduce processes to lower the risk significantly.

Many candidates can ‘do the job’ but do they ‘want to do the job’ i.e. skills set are great however will they apply those skills?

And what about the candidate’s fit to your organisation. Will they enjoy the environment? Do their expectations match yours?  And what about their longevity?

One interview is around 30% effective; phone interviews; 2 interviews; reference checking and assessments raise this to the 80% effective zone, so why don’t you change the way you recruit?

Come along to the workshop and learn how.
