Established in 1864, Monte Christo is the birthplace of Central Otago wine. Located just outside Clyde, our estate is home to the region's most historic winery, now beautifully restored as our Cellar Door. It also includes our production winery, underground cellar, guest cottage accommodation, and a collection of distinctive spaces for wine experiences, private celebrations, and corporate events.
 
Today, our estate vineyards span three renowned Central Otago subregions - the Alexandra Basin, Bannockburn and Pisa - producing sustainably farmed wines that celebrate the diversity of the region.
 
Beyond our award-winning wines, Monte Christo Winery has become a destination where visitors can enjoy guided educational winery tours, premium tastings, seasonal food and wine experiences and boutique cottage accommodation.
 
Our estate also offers a range of unique spaces for corporate events, team building activities, client entertainment and private celebrations, from intimate dinners in our Underground Cellar and meetings in our Aroma Room to exclusive gatherings in our heritage Cellar Door.
