Connect I Navigate I Empower
As the leaves turn and we get ready for colder months it's all still springing in the Waitaki.

I'm very pleased to let you know that we are closer to the goal of a thriving business environment that benefits the whole region as Business South and the Oamaru Business Collective join forces. The consolidated membership can expect an amplified advocacy position, a schedule of networking and social events, training opportunities and employment law services.

Please take advantage of the wide range of training available at members' prices. I look forward to seeing you all at events that celebrate and connect us.

Ngā mihi,

Waitaki Pause with Philippa Cameron

We had a great Pause with Philippa Cameron this month. Philippa shared with us her tips and tricks for successfully navigating Instagram to generate a customer base and income. Learning from local business success and how to apply that within your business is part of what we offer at Business South. Thanks for sharing Pip.

Our fantastic audience represented the diversity of business and people in the Waitaki. Thanks for coming along. We will be running more Pause events throughout the year, we'd love to see you there.
Submissions for Forrester Heights and the Annual Plan

Waitaki District Council has almost reached the end of its consultation process regarding Forrester Heights, final submissions are due on 16 May.  Check out this pretty informative page on their website where you can also submit your thoughts. Take the opportunity to have your voice meaningfully heard.

Business South is also working on a submission advocating for our diverse members' interests, if you would like to be part of that please get in touch ... we're happy to do the leg work for you!

Submissions are also sort for the Annual Plan as we "get back to the future".

Whitestone Cheese Scoop 13 medals at the 2022 NZ Cheese Awards

No more can a rival cheese maker say you're gouda but I'm feta to our friends at Whitestone Cheese. We knew Simon would never fall at the final curdle cause we brie-lieve in you.

Scooping 13 medals at the 20th annual New Zealand Champions of Cheese Awards, which judged more than 380 chesses. A true Waitaki success story, find a better cheese, we would have to dis a brie. Congratulations to the whole team at Whitestone Cheese.
